Frequently Asked Questions

Questions? We’ve Got You Covered.

Forever Functional combines one-on-one physical therapy and personalized recovery care with the convenience of coming directly to you.

Your entire session is spent with a Doctor of Physical Therapy and is built around what your body needs, your goals, and the activities you want to keep doing.

You can work with us for an injury or persistent pain, but you don’t have to be injured. Recovery and body-maintenance sessions are also available when you’re feeling sore, tight, stiff, overworked, or simply want to keep your body feeling its best.

No.

Some clients come to Forever Functional because they’re dealing with an injury or pain that is limiting what they can do. Others simply feel sore, tight, stiff, or physically worn down from training, sports, work, travel, or everyday life.

If your goal is to take better care of your body and keep doing the things you enjoy, you don’t have to wait until something becomes a major injury before reaching out.

A recovery session may be a good fit when you’re generally able to do what you want but your body feels sore, tight, stiff, overworked, or in need of some attention.

Physical therapy is usually the better starting point when you have an injury, persistent pain, significant weakness or mobility limitations, or a problem that is affecting your ability to work, exercise, play sports, or perform normal activities.

If you aren’t sure which one fits your situation, just reach out. We’ll help you determine the best place to start.

No.

We work with athletes, recreational athletes, active adults, and busy professionals who want to move well and feel good.

You might be training for a competition, playing weekend sports, lifting at the gym, running, golfing, staying active with your family, or simply trying to keep work-related aches and stiffness from slowing you down.

You don’t have to consider yourself an “athlete” to benefit from Forever Functional.

Not necessarily.

Texas allows qualifying physical therapists to begin physical therapy treatment without a physician referral for a limited period of time.

If a referral becomes necessary to continue your physical therapy plan, we’ll let you know and help make the process as straightforward as possible.

A referral is not generally required simply to contact us, discuss your situation, or determine whether Forever Functional may be a good fit.

Forever Functional brings mobile recovery and physical therapy directly to the places that fit your life.

Depending on your needs and the type of session, we can meet you at your:

Home • Gym • Office • Field • Court

The goal is to make high-quality care more convenient while also allowing treatment to take place in an environment that makes sense for you and your activities.

Forever Functional primarily serves Cypress and Northwest Houston, including areas such as:

Cypress • Bridgeland • Towne Lake • Hockley • North Katy • Surrounding Northwest Houston communities

If you’re unsure whether your location is within our service area, call or text (832) 321-8531 and we’ll let you know.

Usually, not much.

We bring the equipment needed for your scheduled session. Depending on the type of care, it’s helpful to have enough space to comfortably move, perform exercises, or set up a treatment table when needed.

We’ll let you know ahead of time if there’s anything specific you should have available.

Often, yes — as long as the location allows outside providers and there is an appropriate space for the session.

If you’re planning to meet at a gym, office, athletic facility, or other private property, you may need to confirm that the location permits an outside physical therapist to provide services there.

When appropriate, yes.

Meeting at a field or court can be especially useful for athletes and active adults who need sport-specific movement assessment, return-to-activity work, or care related to the demands of their activity.

Whether that setting is appropriate will depend on the reason for your session, the environment, and what we need to accomplish that day.

No.

Forever Functional is a private-pay mobile recovery and physical therapy practice, not a traditional home health agency.

We travel to clients for convenience and flexibility — not because you must be homebound or unable to leave your home.

Our services are designed for active adults, athletes, busy professionals, and others who want personalized recovery or physical therapy brought directly to them.

Every session is one-on-one and personalized around what you need that day.

We’ll start by discussing what you’re feeling, what activities are being affected, and what you want to get back to. Depending on the reason for your visit, we may assess mobility, strength, movement, flexibility, or other relevant factors.

Your session may then include hands-on treatment, mobility work, exercise, dry needling, cupping, stretching, joint mobilization, or other techniques based on what makes sense for you.

Sessions are 50-60 minutes.

Because your visit is one-on-one, the full session is focused on your needs rather than being split between multiple patients.

Treatment varies based on your needs and may include:

Manual Therapy • Dry Needling • Cupping • IASTM / Muscle Scraping • Joint Mobilization • Assisted Stretching • Mobility Work • Therapeutic Exercise • Strengthening

Not every technique is appropriate for every person or every session. Your care is selected based on what we find and what you’re trying to accomplish.

Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move and gives access to the area being treated.

That depends on why you’re coming in.

Someone recovering from an injury may benefit from a more structured treatment schedule, while someone using Forever Functional for recovery or body maintenance may choose to schedule only when needed or on a recurring basis.

We’ll recommend a frequency based on your goals, how your body is responding, and what makes sense for your situation.

Forever Functional is a private-pay practice and does not bill insurance directly.

This allows us to provide one-on-one care based on your needs and goals without being limited by insurance authorizations, visit restrictions, or reimbursement rules.

You pay for your session directly at the time of service.

Before booking, you’ll know the cost of your visit so there are no surprise insurance bills or uncertainty about what your plan will cover.

Physical therapy services may be eligible for payment using HSA or FSA funds when they qualify as medical care under your plan.

Eligibility can vary based on the type of service and your specific account, so we recommend confirming with your HSA/FSA administrator if you’re unsure.

Yes, when appropriate, we can provide documentation that you may submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement.

Reimbursement is determined by your individual insurance plan, so Forever Functional cannot guarantee whether your plan will reimburse you or how much it may cover.
